The idea is solid- when you let your hair dry against the direction of hair growth it will create volume at the roots. That being said, you have to ensure that there's enough tension to hold the hair against the direction of growth. If you normally part it on one side, blow dry it in the opposite direction and flip back, and you'll create volume.

I could easily make this work on my hair. Use more than one clip or something other than a clip. There's more than one correct way to do something, and that works out well because everyone's needs are different. I would have to use at least 4 clips or something else altogether because my hair is over 3 feet long and insanely thick.

Yeah if I leave my hair up in any kind of up do when it’s damp or wet - it could be days later, it’ll still be damp.
